Leona's Dreams is my best piece of artwork as for today.
This is the essence of what i want to create for the next years
It's different from what i've used to do, from what you saw on this channel but it's also closer to who i am as an artist, as a person, as a 27 years old woman.
Leona was a name that i found, i name my characters for no specific reasons except that i want them to be concrete and real.My mother told me her story when she look at the painting, she said to me "She looks like the queen of butterflies in a dark forest, she looks lost and sad"
Leona is not a queen, she's just being captive of her dreams and her lost hopes. Butterflies are the essence of dreams to me, they are beautiful, ethearal and unpredictable. Flowers has always been a part of my art, a part of me. Nature is a part of me. The flowers are just creatures of the nature, i consider them alive and they are alive. There are also the best graphic embelisshment ever. You can't go wrong with flowers, you can make them like you want, create your own, mix existing ones.
Endless. Colors are also a part of my work, i can't work in black and white, my mind is colored, my imagination is colored, rainbows and flowers and music are colored. I can't think of any art without colors. I need to travel when i look at a painting.
Color is magical, when they mix, they follow their own path and i can't control it. I like that part of unknown, that's also related to dreaming. i dream in colors.
I said that i don't like sadness in art, but i'm not a very bubbly happy person, i try to, it's a mask. i'm sad most of the time even though i like to smile and laugh, people are sad.
It's bittersweet. This is why she looks sad, cause she is ... but she's not despaired. All the colors, all the flowers, all the butterflies are here to say "keep holding on" cause as long as you keep dreaming, you can still make everything right.
Leona is lost but she's looking at the future.
She's not me, but she certainly is a part of me.

I don't know if anyone is reading after all that i said, if you are, that means you were interested my work and how i see it and what i want to tell with it. Thank you for that. You learned more about me and i hope you will keep on following my journey. This artwork is not entirely how i want it to be, i need to experiment more and get better, it's like i'm trying something new and fresh. I feel like i need to reborn. it's gonna take time so i hope you will stay with me along the way.
